She was preceded in death by her husband, L. B. Lennon; her parents, Charles and Callie Davis Mercer; five brothers; and a sister.
The funeral took place on Sunday, May 17, at Galeed Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Mack Roberts and Bruce Cannon officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The family received friends on Saturday, May 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Galeed Baptist Church.
She is survived by four sons, Jerry Lennon of Salem, Va. and Bladenboro, Charles Lennon of Bladenboro, Eddie Lennon of Newport, Tenn., Joe Lennon of Bladenboro; a sister, Louise Toumbacaris of Whitestone, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, 12 nieces and two nephews; and host of friends and acquaintances.
