WHITE LAKE — With hopes that rain will stay away for the weekend, the town of White Lake is gearing up for its annual Water Festival.

The festival kicks off Friday evening with the lawn and garden tractor pull and the classic car cruise in. On Saturday morning, the parade will begin at 10 a.m., followed by various fun, games and activities throughout the day at both the Goldston’s Beach/Crystal Beach Resort location and at the Hwy. 701 location across from the Scotchman. The entertainment tent will be filled with a variety of acts beginning at 9 a.m.

The White Lake Fire Department will hold its barbecue plate sale at the station.

Co-ed volleyball, the tractor pull and the classic car show will all be held at the Hwy. 701 location beginning at noon.

The 1-Mile Fun Run and the 10K Relay and 10K Race will be held on Sunday at Goldston’s Beach, and the firefighter’s competition will begin at Hwy. 701 at 9 a.m. For music and fellowship during the afternoon, the White Lake Praise Him Festival will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., at White Lake Baptist Church.
