SPOKANE, Wash. — After sitting tghrough the first three games of the season, the start of Saquan Johnson’s second season in professional baseball got even rougher with the Class A Spokane Indians.
Johnson has been the No. 9 hitter and left fielder for the Indians the past two games — 9-1 and 7-1 losses to the Vancouver Canadians.
The former East Bladen High star, drafted in the 28th round of the Major League baseball Draft last June by the Texas Rangers, was 0-for-3 on Monday — all strikeouts — and took an 0-for-3 collar again on Tuesday.
The Indians, now 1-4, open a five-game series at the Everett (Wash.) AquaSox today.
