Eagles to hold

athletic banquet

ELIZABETHTOWN — East Bladen High School will host its annual Athletic Banquet on Thursday, May 17, starting at 6 p.m. in the school’s atrium.

Tickets for parents are now on sale at the school for $10 per person and will be sold through Tuesday, May 15.

Tickets can be picked up from Coach Patty Evers in the athletic director’s office.

Martin and Daniels

are heading to BCC

ELIZABETHTOWN — According to published reports, both Trent Martin and Randy Daniels, seniors at East Bladen High School, have signed letters of intent to play baseball at Brunswick Community College in Supply.

The announcement was according to an email from Frankie Everitte, assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator for the Dolphins’ athletics department.

Daniels and Martin are multiple-sport athletes for the Eagles. Martin earned letters with the football and baseball teams this school year, while Daniels sustained an injury and was kept on the sidelines through most of the basketball and all of the baseball seasons.

Collins planning to

play at N.C. Central

SUPPLY — Ryan Collins will be an Eagle once again.

The former East Bladen High star football and baseball player has decided he will continue his college baseball career as a North Carolina Central Eagle.

He is in the home stretch of his second season with Brunswick Community College, where is batting more than .300 and has 24 RBI.
