TAR HEEL — The Bladen County Dixie Youth Baseball League will open the 2009 season with an organizational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m., at the multipurpose building in Tar Heel.
All Dixie Youth coaches and interested volunteers in the communities of Bladenboro, Clarkton, Dublin and Tar Heel are encouraged to attend the meeting. Important information will be discussed, and decisions will be made to begin the new season.
Tar Heel's multipurpose building is located immediately in front of the town's Dixie Youth field and beside the Tar Heel Rescue Squad Building.
Dixie Youth Baseball is an organization for children between the ages of six and 12; all adults in the program serve in a voluntary capacity. Bladen County DYB includes the children and adults in Bladenboro, Clarkton, Dublin, and Tar Heel.
