DUBLIN — A fight broke out at West Bladen High School Wednesday afternoon, but no arrests were made, according to Bladen County Sheriff’s Captain Rodney Hester.

“There was a couple of fights,” said Hester Thursday morning. “It was all handled by the school. There was no evidence any of this was drug or gang related.”

Hester said some of the West Bladen students like to go to Champs in Dublin after school dismisses and the sheriff’s office sent some deputies to the Champs location to prevent anything from spilling over there. Hester said there was no reports of any fights after school was dismissed.

“Mrs. Warwick does an excellent job as far as discipline is concerned,” said Hester of the school’s principal.
