Butler hit a trio of 3-pointers and scored 11 of his 14 points as the Knights jumped ahead 16-10 at the quarter break and 34-16 at the half. Washington scored up 10 of his game-high 15 points in the second half as the Knights maintained their 18-point lead.
Deandre Mason connected for all 10 of his points during the first-half surge. Coach Marcus Johnson’s Knights raised their record to 5-0.

The West Bladen Knights jayvee boys team opened Southeaster Conference 56-49 win over the West Columbus Vikings.
Javier Washington scored a pair of lay-ups that snapped a 49-49 tie and propelled the Knights to the win.
After Washington’s buckets, Devon Hemingway banked in a short runner with 55 seconds left to seal the verdict. Washington finished with 14 points to lead Coach Marcus Johnson’s unbeaten Knights, now 6-0. Deandre Mason scored 11 points for the Knights, and Joe Butler added nine
Washington worked inside for six points as the Knights grabbed a 19-6 first period lead. The Vikings Kortell Nixon fired in 17 of his game-high 20 points as the visitors closed to within 35-23 at the half, and 41-36 after three periods.
