The East Bladen Eagles to scrimmage at Midway tonight|Preparing for the upcoming season

The East Bladen Eagles are scheduled to scrimmage the Midway Raiders tonight at Midway. The scrimmage is set to get underway at 7 p.m.

The Eagles are coming off a 10-3 record from last season. Over the past five years Coach Lenon Fisher has led his teams to a 55-11 record. The best years came in ‘06 and ‘04 when the Eagles ram to a 13-1 record each year. The team’s worst record over the past five years was a 8-4 mark in ‘05.

The Eagles are in somewhat of a rebuilding stage this season after graduating most of the starters from last season.

Friday night East Bladen is scheduled to participate in the Sampson County Jamboree. The Eagles will scrimmage at Hobbton High along with West Bladen, Hobbton and Lakewood.

On Aug. 20, the Eagles will play an endowment game when East hostsGreen Sea-Floyds. Regular season play is set to get underway Aug. 29 when East Bladen travels to Whiteville to take on the Wolfpack. Whiteville is coached this year by Bob Lewis.
