BLADENBORO — A Bladen County resident, Bo Stephen Alambis of Bladenboro, has been selected along with six other students in Southeastern Community College's freshman class as an S.C.C. Trustee Academic Scholarship recipient. This $2,500 scholarship is applied toward each student’s tuition and books and is awarded solely on academic merit.

All of the scholarship recipients are 2008 graduates of high school programs in Columbus and Bladen counties.

Alambis, a graduate of West Bladen High School, is a trustee scholar. He is enrolled in the college transfer program and hopes to pursue a master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
