LUMBERTON - Paul R. Singletary, of 550 Bailey Road, died August 20 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was 85.
He was born April 19, 1920, and was a son of the late Edward and Roberta Williamson Singletary. He was a member of Living Faith Fellowship Church and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Navy. He retired from the Department of Justice.
Preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters, he is survived by a brother, Clyd Singletary of Wilmington, and two sisters, Helen Singletary Taylor of Tabor City and Colleen Singletary Hester Enrlich of Myrtle Beach.
