Bladen 14U team wins East Regional....
The Bladen 14-and-Under Fast-Pitch Softball All-Star team won the Eastern Regional SWAC Tournament played in Selma this past weekend. The squad defeated Onslow County 13-0, Johnson County 9-1 and Johnston County again 12-2 in the championship contest. The team is scheduled to play in the SWAC State Tournament this weekend in Rockingham. Members of the team are Sabre Jessup, Heather Hartley, Paige Guyton, Tabi Cain, Tori Shipman, Jessica Price, Nadia Lancaster, Berkleigh Pridgen, Emilee Rigsbee, Britteny Dockery, Amanda Abbott, Jeri Lynn Lewis, Carrie Parnell, Hillary Jones and LaWanda McDowell. The team is coached by Tom Jones, Bill Jessup, Lawrence Raynor and Mark Cain.
