Clarkton Nationals 15

The Clarkton Nationals Coach-Pitch team kept their undefeated season going with a 15-0 win over the Dublin A's Monday night in a game played at Dublin.

In the top of the first, Ray Jones started a hitting streak for Clarkton when he hit an infield single. Daniel Elkins followed with a double to left field that scored Jones.

Tauren Baldwin singled to move Elkins to third, and Wayde Owen doubled to center field to score Elkins and Baldwin. Owen scored when Enrique Bazadula singled to right field.

Bazadula was left on base, but not before the Clarkton kids put four runs on the board.

The Dublin A's managed to get two base runners in the bottom of the first when both reached on Clarkton errors. However, these two runners couldn't score.

After one complete inning, the Nationals led, 4-0.

Clarkton went three-up-three-down in the top of the second.

The Dublin A's went three-up-three-down in the bottom of the second, but Clarkton still led after two, 4-0.

In the top of the third, Jones led off with an infield single and scored on the overthrow to first.

Elkins reached on a Dublin error and moved to third when Baldwin singled behind him.

Owen hit into a fielder's choice that got Elkins out at third. Bazadula singled up the middle to score Baldwin and Owen.

Johnathan Savage hit an in-the-park home run that also scored Bazadula. Clarkton increased its lead to 9-0.

In the top of the fourth, Brandon Thompson reached on an error. After two quick outs, Thompson got to second on Jones' third hit of the night - a single.

Elkins singled behind Jones. Baldwin singled to score Thompson. Owen singled to score Jones, and Bazadula also singled to score Elkins.

With the bases loaded again, Savage hit a hard one to left field that cleared the bases and got him to second. Savage was left on base.

Clarkton's lead had increased to 15-0, and when Dublin couldn't score in the bottom of the fourth, the game was called because of the 15-run rule.

Leading hitters for Clarkton were Ray Jones, 3-for-3; Daniel Elkins, 3-for-3, with a double; Tauren Baldwin, 3-for-3; Enrique Bazadula, 3-for-3; Johnathan Savage, 3-for-3, with a double and a homerun; and Wayde Owen, 2-for-3, with a double.

With the win, the Nationals' record improved to 10-0 in league play and 11-0 overall.

Bladenboro Cardinals 13

Bladen Orioles 6

The Bladenboro Cardinals Major League team defeated the Bladenboro Orioles 13-6 in a contest played at Bladenboro on Friday.

The Orioles scored first in the bottom of the first after Chris Britt led off with a single and later scored on a passed ball.

The Cardinals got on the board in the top of the second after a single by Carey Thomas Lennon and a walk by Nick Peavy.

Both runners later scored on passed balls leaving the score 2-1 after two complete innings.

The Cardinals added four runs in the top of the fourth. Tyler Bennett led off the top half with a walk and later scored on a passed ball. Nick Peavy also walked and scored on a single by Ryan Deaver.

Deaver later scored on a passed ball along with Austin Sykes who walked and scored off a pass ball also.

The Orioles responded with three runs in the bottom of the fourth following a triple by Zachary Felts and a walk by Gary Bryan.

Forrest Lennon scored both runners on a double and he also scored on throwing errors.

The score after four complete was 6-4. The Cardinals added two more runs in the top of the fifth following a walk by Jacob King and a home run by Trent Lewis, leaving it 8-4 after five complete innings.

The Cardinals broke the game open in the top of the sixth with five runs.

Both Lorenzo Drew and Ryan Deaver walked and scored on a single by Austin Sykes who later scored on a RBI fielder's choice by Jacob King.

Lewis was hit by a pitch and scored on a single by Bennett. Bennett Later scored on a passed ball.

The Orioles added two runs in the bottom of the sixth following a single by Forrest Lennon and a walk by Austin. Both runners scored on passed balls leaving the final score 13-6.

Nick Peavy pitched a complete game for the Cardinals, striking out 15 batters and walking six while scattering five hits.

Gary Bryan started on the mound for the Orioles. He struck out four and walked four while giving up two hits.

Javier relived Bryan in the fifth and struck out two batters while walking 10 and giving up five hits.

Cubs 12

Cubs started out the 1st ending scoring 2 runs nationals came up to bat and got on top 3-2. Bottom of the 2nd ending we did not score anything, bottom of the 3rd we still did not score anything. top of the 4th nationals came back and score alot of runs, Cubs came up to bat top of the line up Hunter Willoughby, Logan Sykes, Bryan Hickman, Colby Mclean Blake Babson and getting hits and all of them scoring. Krisna Ramson, Emily McCormick also had single hits making the score 11-7. Top of the 5th nationals did not score and the cub came back and score 5 more runs by Colby Mclean, Blake Babson, Colby Lewis, Emily McCormick and Krisna Ramson, making the score 12-11. Nationals came up to bat last ending and score 2 runs on us winning it 13-12. The cubs Played a real good game and they did not give up.

Buddy i forgot to say that Colby Mclean had a home run in that game and other players were Ethon Willoughby, Weston Pridgen, Hunter Pait also add in there that Devin Reese had a single hit

Cubs vs tarheel

Cubs did not have a good game at all we ended up losing 20-7. Hits Hunter Willoughby, Colby Mclean, 3-3 Logan Sykes, Colby Lewis 2-2, Emily McCormick, Blake Babson, 1-3. We had 2 players to hit a Home run Logan Sykes, Hunter Willoughby. Other players Devin Reese, Krisna Ramón, Hunter Pait, Weston Pridgen, Ethan Willoughby.

Cubs vs. Intimidators

Cubs jumped to a 4-0 lead in the 1st ending having hits by H. Willoughby, Logan Sykes, Emily McCormick, Colby McLean, Blake Babson, Colby Lewis Devin Reese and Willoughby, Sykes, McCormick, McLean all scoring. 2nd cubs only scored one run and that was by Ethan Willoughby and he is one of out smallest players, bottom of the 2nd we let them get 2 runs but that was it we held them good and we played good defense the best that we have played all year. Top of the 3rd we had Colby McLean hit a home run. Blake Babson with a double and Colby Lewis with a triple and Bryan Hickman with a single bottom of the 3rd we held them did not let them score at all. Top of the 4th and we are at the top of the line up Hunter Willoughby comes up to bat and hits a home run, also Emily McCormick, Blake Babson both hitting doubles and Colby McLean hitting a triple, with Logan Sykes hitting a single also hunter Pait he is one of our new players he came up to bat and hit the ball to the out field almost getting a home run but was tagged out at home plate and that made the score 12-2, bottom we let them get a run on us but once again me played good defense and stopped the ball to hold them. In the bottom of the 5th Weston Pridgen he is our smallest player on our team and he hit a double, this is his 1st hit of the year, also Ethan Willoughby also getting a single and then Hunter Pait came up to bat and got another hit. we let the Intimidators get 1 run in the last ending. we won the game 12-3 Our hitters were H.Willoughby, L.Sykes, C.Mclean, B.Babson, C.Lewis hitting 3-3, with H.Willoughby, C. McLean both hitting home runs. E.Mccormick, E. Willoughby. H.Pait 2-2 D. Reese, B. Hickman, W.Pridgen 1-2 other players Krisna Ramón. I am so proud of all my players they played the best.

B-boro Cubs vs. B-boro Blaze

The cubs started out the season with a lose, we had all of our players back but 3. the cubs did not start out good in either ending none of the starters were hitting the ball at all. The 1st ending we only scored 1 run and did not score again to the bottom of the 3rd and we only got 2 runs. then the bottom of the 4th again we only got 1 run. The cubs ended up losing 10-4. Our hitters were Logan Sykes 3-3, Colby McLean 2-2. Hunter Willoughby, Blake Babson 1-3. Other players were Devin Reese, Bryan Hickman, Colby Lewis, Krisna Ramón, Weston Pridgen, Hunter Pait, Ethan Willoughby and Emily McCormick
