BLADENBORO - Geneva Guyton Carroll , 81, departed this life Sunday, July 11, at her home at 2105 410 North.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Lumber River Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging Longterm Care Ombudsman, Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee, and also a volunteer for the Bladen County Democratic party.
She was preceded in death by here husband, Ottie Jutson Carroll Jr., and her son, J. J. Carroll; her parents, Fred and Evie H. Guyton; a sister, Pearl G. Dowless; and her brothers, Earl, Hubert, Freddie and Gerald Guyton.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a. m. at Bladen Memorial Gardens. The service official will be Rev. Vernon Britt.
She is survived by three daughters, Peggy C. Breeden of Columbus, Ohio, and her husband Brooks; Rebecca Cox of Linville; and Betty Jo Kaveney of Springfield, Va., and her husband George; a grandson, Judson Cox of Linville; three granddaughters, Tonya C. Ballard and Heather C. Edwards, both of Wilmington, and Amanda L. Carroll of Abbottsburg; and three great-grandchildren.
