Kristen McMillan slammed a two-run double and Christina Brisson crushed a two-run homer to key a five-run sixth inning that carried West Bladen to an 11-6 Tri-Six 2-A Conference jayvee softball victory over visiting Grays Creek Tuesday.

Jill Kinlaw and Lindsey Rice drew walks to start the winning rally, and Samantha Brisson was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Kinlaw raced home on a wild pitch with the go-ahead run.

McMillan ripped a liner to the gap in left-center field for a 9-6 West Bladen lead, and Christina Brisson launched a drive over the right fielder's head and circled the bases.

Winning pitcher Colby Grimes hurled a two-hitter and struck out 15 batters. Grimes allowed eight walks, five in a four-run fourth, that gave the Lady Bears a 5-3 lead.

The Lady Knights trailed 1-0 in the first, when Christina Brisson poked a single to right, stole second and tied the game on Kayla Guyton's single.

Rachel Davis walked, Lindsay Clark legged out an infield hit and a throwing error put West ahead 3-1.

Davis reached on an error in the fourth, swiped second and advanced on a wild pitch. Clark pulled an infield hit to deep short to plate Davis and close the gap to 5-4.

Guyton walked and stole second as the Lady Knights see-sawed back in front 6-5 in the fifth.

Caroline Wells smashed a single to centerfield to drive in Guyton. Wells eventually scored on a wild pitch.

Clark collected a pair of infield hits and two runs-batted-in. Christina Brisson batted 2-for-4 with the two-run homer.

McMillan had the two-run double, and Guyton, Wells and Samantha Brisson contributed one hit each. Guyton gunned down two Lady Bears attempting to steal.
