The Reverends Sidney Britt, Lee Roy Smith and Brian Perry officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McDuffie of Carvers Creek and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Caines of Chadbourn.
The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
The groom is a graduate of North Carolina State University and earned a degree in chemical engineering.
Escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a long gown of white duchess satin. The bodice had a small scoop neckline with slightly off the shoulder straps and a beaded empire waist with a cummerbund detail. The princess A-line skirt featured a hemline with beaded detail and a cathedral-length train. She wore a cathedral-length veil and carried her Bible, topped with an orchid.
Maid of honor was Amanda Hardy of Greensboro, cousin of the bride, and matron of honor was Jeana McDuffie of Lake Waccamaw, sister-in-law of the bride. They wore long gowns of periwinkle chiffon.
Bridesmaids were Angie Nance of Chadbourn, Mindy Caines of Chadbourn, Kate Celauro and Jill Roberts, both of Nashville, Tennessee, and Martha Wayne of Raleigh. They were gowned like the honor attendants.
Flower girl was Graceanna Sessions of Lake Waccamaw. Junior flower girls were Faith Malone of McKinney, Texas, and Sealey Sessions of Lake Waccamaw. Honorary flower girls were Emma Grace Malone of McKinney, Texas, Audrey McDuffie of Lake Waccamaw, and Anna Kay Nance of Chadbourn.
Best man was Charles Caines, father of the groom, and groomsmen were Hugh David Grist of Raleigh, Tim Duncan of Tabor City, Chad Caines of Chadbourn, Nicky Nance of Chadbourn, Jason Caines of Chadbourn and Dan McDuffie of Lake Waccamaw.
Ring bearers were Jake Inman of Lake Waccamaw and Jordan Nance of Chadbourn.
Music was provided by Kate Celauro and Lawrence McDougald, soloists, and Cathey Blackburn, organist.
Following a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will make their home in Belville.
RECEPTION
Following the ceremony, a reception, hosted by the parents of the bride, was held at their home in Carvers Creek.
REHEARSAL DINNER
On March 19, a rehearsal dinner, hosted by the parents of the groom, was held at The Madison House in Whiteville.
