ELIZABETHTOWN -Howard Le Hopkins Sr., of 906 Joel Street, died Monday, October 13, at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was 55.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p. m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown by Rev. Harry McGill. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Hopkins is survived by his wife, Shirley Hopkins; a daughter, Erica Meares of Greensboro; two sons, Phillip L. Hopkins and Howard L. Hopkins Jr., both of Elizabethtown; two stepchildren, Ronald McLaughlin of Elizabethtown and Stephanie Rogers of Durham; his father, Tom Hopkins Sr. of Elizabethtown; three brothers, Tom Hopkins Jr. of Fayetteville, and James W. Hopkins and Larry Hopkins, both of Elizabethtown; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 till 5:30 p. m. and a wake from 7 till 8 p. m. at F. W. Newton and Sons Mortuary in Elizabethtown.
Newton is handling the arrangements.
