Knights traveling to Red Springs for league game

The West Bladen Knights continue Tri-Six Conference football play tonight as the team travels to Red Springs to take on the Red Devils.

The Red Devils are better than their 2-2-1 record indicates.

After opening the season with a 35-14 win over a good James Kenan tem, the Red Devils lost to a much improved East Columbus team, 16-7.

The following week, Red Spring's game with Roanoke ended in a 20-20 tie.

After running past West Columbus 24-0 the following week, the Red Devils battled Whiteville to a 27-24 overtime loss.

Last week, Red Springs fell to a very good St. Pauls team, 26-0, as the Red Devils opened Tri-Six Conference play.

Overall the Red Devils have outscored their opponents 110-103.

Runningback Chris Campbell and quarterback Robert McPhaul have been impressive.

West Bladen comes into the game with a 2-2 record and the Knights have been outscored 96-68.

West opened the season with a 32-10 win over West Columbus before losing its next two contests.

The Knights fell to Whiteville 42-12 and to East Bladen 38-12.

Last week the team opened Tri-Six Conference play with a 13-6 win over Fairmont.
