CHADBOURN - Rev. Jerry Jerome Hinson, 61, of the Beaverdam community, died Saturday, March 22, at Columbus County Hospital.
He was a son of the late Leo Hinson and Retha McPherson. He served as minister of Love Mission Christian Center in Bladenboro and Day Spring Family Church for over 12 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Mr. Hinson was a former carrier of the Bladen Journal.
The funeral service will be held today (Tuesday) at 2 p. m. at Day Spring Family Church, conducted by the Revs. W. C. Hilburn and Velma Hilburn. Burial will be in the Hinson Cemetery.
Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife, Jean Batten Hinson; two stepsons, Jerry Scott Turbeville of Wilmington and Jessie Edwin Turbeville of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Rita Davis and Rhonda Alterman, both of Beaverdam; and a brother, Larry Hinson of Chadbourn.
McKenzie Mortuary of Whiteville is handling the arrangements.
