Local teams playing for conference titles tonight

All four high school varsity basketball teams in the county are playing for their respective conference tournament championships tonight.

The East Bladen boys and girls will be playing at East Columbus, and the West Bladen boys and girls will be playing at Clinton.

Waccamaw Conference

The Eagles advanced to the Waccamaw Conference tourney finals after beating South Brunswick last night in the semi-finals.

The Eagles will take on Whiteville at 8 p.m. in the championship game tonight at East Columbus. Whiteville defeated East Columbus in the semi-finals Wednesday night.

Whiteville and East split during the two meetings this year.

The Lady Eagles are scheduled to play Whiteville at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the finals.

The Lady Eagles defeated West Columbus Wednesday night. Whiteville advanced to the finals after beating East Columbus last night.

The Lady Eagles and Lady Wolfpack split during their two meetings this season.

Tri-Six Conference

The West Bladen Knights reached the finals of the Tri-Six Conference tournament with a win over Red Springs Wednesday night.

West Bladen is scheduled to take on the Clinton Dark Horses tonight at 8:30 p.m.

Clinton reached the finals after beating St. Pauls Wednesday night.

The West Bladen Lady Knights are set to take on Red Springs in the finals at 6:30 p.m. tonight in Clinton.

The Lady Knights beat St. Pauls last night in the semi-finals. Red Springs reached the finals with a win over Clinton last night.
