ALEXANDER
CHARLOTTE - The Rev. John Lowell Alexander, 60, formerly of Bladen County, died Monday, February 3, at his home.
Rev. Alexander was the pastor of several churches, including Beth Car Presbyterian in Tar Heel, Bladenboro Presbyterian in Bladenboro, and Oakdale Presbyterian in White Oak.
The funeral was conducted at 2 p. m. Thursday at Sharon Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Sallie A. Alexander; a son, Richard Alexander of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Sarah Baldwin of Charlotte; and a brother, Robert Alexander of Albuquerque, N. M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sharon Presbyterian Church building fund, 5201 Sharon Road, Charlotte, N. C. 28210.
