Jenna Shaw Bridger, a recent graduate of the Bladenboro campus of West Bladen High School, has been awarded a Technology Grant and a Johnston Scholarship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She is one of 70 entering freshmen at UNC-CH to receive the Johnston Scholarship. She was selected on her outstanding academic achievement in high school and her recognition as a school and community leader.
She also received the J. W. and Martha Black Scholarship from the Bladenboro Rotary Club, a National Beta Club Scholarship, and a Bladen County Educators Association Scholarship.
She plans to major in Biology with the hopes of attending Dental School in the future.
She is the daughter of Robbie and Pam Bridger of Bladenboro and is the granddaughter of Jimmy Bridger of Watertown, Ct., and the late Alma Bridger, Dick and Sally Shaw of Evergreen.
