Two men have been arrested on felony marijuana charges in Bladenboro.

Bladenboro Police Chief Danny Russ said Jamar Terrell Moore and Tyrone Leach were arrested July 1 as part of an ongoing undercover operation.

Both men are charged with two counts each of possession of marijuana with the intent to sell and deliver, and manufacture of marijuana.

Leach, who is 22 and lives at No. 7, Harmony Homes, Bladenboro, was released on a $4,000 bond. Moore, 28, lives at Village Oaks Apartments in Bladenboro. He was held in the Bladen County Jail Wednesday under $3,000 bond.

Russ said the operation came about due to complaints by area residents about traffic and suspicious activity.

"Sometimes these things take some time to develop," he said, "and people get frustrated. I want everyone to realize we do take complaints seriously-they just might not immediately produce the results we all want."

In both cases the suspects sold drugs to an undercover informant.

The investigation is a joint effort by the Bladenboro Police Department and the State Bureau of Investigation.

Russ said more arrests are expected in the operation.

"Please keep calling us," he said. "If residents tell us what's going on in their neighborhoods, we will eventually get these guys."
