BLADENBORO - Dorothy Jackson Malette, 72, died Sunday, April 7, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
The funeral service was conducted at 3 p. m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn with Rev. Johnathan Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery of Evergreen.
She was the daughter of the late Cornelius C. and Nancy Belle Cannon Jackson.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia W. Lewis of Maiden; two brothers, Dennis Jackson of Smithfield and Stancil Jackson of Anchorage, Alaska; six sisters, Nina Grimsley of Tennessee, Nellie Richardson of Chadbourn, Leona Byrd of Lumberton, Evelyn Byrd and Dalma Walker, both of Fayetteville, Dessie Cox of Bladenboro; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Worthington Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
