ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Youth Focus Project recently received a grant from the Richard E. Deutsch Memorial Fund of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Minnie Price and Helen Hollis attended a National Rosenwald Schools Conference June 17-19 in Durham. During the conference representatives from nine historical Rosenwald Schools made presentations to qualify for one of two $1,5000 non-matching grants.

Price made the presentation for the historical school and qualified to receive one of the grant to help kick off a fundraising campaign to work on the Bladen County Training School roof, which is now the Paul R. Brown Building, lcoated at 1360 Martin Luther King Drive in Elizabethtown.
