ROSE HILL — The Lady Knights blasted 25 aces on Tuesday, seven by Logan Autry and six by Kathryn Schultz, en route to a Four County Conference win over Union High.

After dropping the first set 25-21, West Bladen swept the next three by the scores of 25-10, 25-18 and 25-16.

The girls are really coming together and playing together,” said West Bladen coach Gaye Davis.

In addition to Autry and Schultz, others getting in on the ace-fest were Jenna Dove with five, Raegan Davis with five, Patience Parker with one and Kassidy Anderson with one.

Anderson led the Lady Knights with seven kills in the match, followed by Morgan Schumacker with six, Davis with six, Schultz with four, Parker with four and Autry with three.

West Bladen is now 8-6 overall and 4-4 in the conference. They will travel to Teachey on Thursday looking for revenge against Wallace-Rose Hill, which handed the Lady Knights a 25-23, 25-16 and 25-14 conference loss on Sept. 6.

East Bladen traveled to Dunn on Tuesday to take on Four County Conference leader Midway High and got handed a straight-sets loss by the scores of 25-17, 25-7 and 25-9.

The Lady Eagles fall to 3-10 overall and 0-7 in the conference, while the Lady Raiders improve to 15-2-1, 8-0.

East Bladen will travel to Clinton on Thursday for a conference match against Clinton.
