DUBLIN — West Bladen weathered a six-run inning by visiting Pender County and the Lady Knights earned an 8-6 Four County Conference win on Wednesday.

The victory improved West Bladen to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

The Knights took a 2-0 lead in the third inning, but the Lady Patriots erupted for six runs in the top of the fourth to open a 6-2 advantage before West Bladen scored three runs in the home half, then added two more in the fifth and an insurance run in the six to seal the win.

Logan Autry led the Lady Knights at the plate, going 3-for-3, while Laikyn Pait was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Alanna Ludlum was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
