DUNN — The Lady Raiders of Midway didn’t allow visiting West Bladen to win a quarter Tuesday en route to a 55-31 Four County Conference win.
The Lady Knights fall to 7-15 overall and 5-8 in the conference with the loss.
Midway dominated right from the start, hitting outside shots and outscoring West Bladen by a 14-6 margin in the first quarter. The lone points for the Lady Knights came on baskets by Laikyn Pait and Akira Grimes, along with two free throws by Erika McKoy.
In the second quarter, Logan Autry drained a three-pointer and Pait added a trio of free throws to help West Bladen put 10 points on the board, but the Lady Raiders extended the lead with 11 points in the period and took a 25-16 advantage into halftime.
Midway exploded for 18 points in the third quarter, while the Lady Knights’ balanced scoring could only manage 11 points to fall into a bigger hole at 43-28.
The West Bladen offense all but shut down in the fourth frame, putting just four points on the board, while Midway scored 12 points to seal the 24-point win.
Pait led the Lady Knights with 11 points.
