DUNN — Visiting West Bladen put three players in double figures Tuesday and used consistent scoring throughout the game to take a 58-46 Four County Conference win over Midway.
The Knights improved to 17-6 overall and 8-5 in the conference.
West Bladen got out to a swift start, outscoring the Raiders by a 13-8 margin in the first quarter, but the two teams traded points throughout the second stanza and neither got an advantage in the 12-12 period. The Knights protected their five-point lead and took a 25-20 advantage into intermission.
Things remained tight in the second half, but West Bladen advanced its lead by winning the third quarter, 15-13, and went up 40-33 going into the fourth frame.
Down the stretch, Midway couldn’t find a crack in the Knights’ defense and the West Bladen offense outscored the Raiders by an 18-13 margin to seal the 12-point win.
John Bowen led the Knights with 17 points, followed closely by Stefan McDonald with 14 points and Sayaun Dent with 13 points.
