Vineyard Golf to host tournament

WHITE LAKE — Vineyard Golf at White Lake will host a Super Bowl Two-Man Texas Scramble tournament on Saturday, Feb. 6, with a shotgun tee time of noon.
The cost per team will be $120 and there will be a skins game which will cost $20 extra per team. A putting contest at $10 per player will also be held. Along with the greens fee and carts, food will be included.
The tournament will be flighted for winners and skins game. The payoff for the skins game will stay within each flight.

Rotary Club’s USO benefit is set

ELIZABETHTOWN — The annual Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s 8K Trail Run and Walk to benefit the USO of North Carolina will be held Saturday, April 16, at the Brown’s Creek Nature Trail and Bike Park at 8:30 a.m.
Participants can register for the event by going to www.elizabethtownrotary8k.org.
The cost to register of the event is $25. Race packets may be picked up at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market on Friday, April 15, or on Saturday, April 16, at 7:30 a.m. at the park.
