Lady Knights fall, 50-27

TEACHEY — Wallace-Rose Hill jump in front quickly and never looked back en route to a 50-27 Four County Conference win over visiting West Bladen on Wednesday.

The loss drops the Lady Knights to 6-12 overall and 4-5 in the conference.

The Lady Bulldogs exploded for an 18-4 first-quarter lead, but West Bladen clamped down on defense and outscored Wallace-Rose Hill by a 7-2 margin in the second stanza to cut the halftime deficit to 20-11.

The second half was deja vu all over again, as the Lady Bulldogs rolled up an 18-7 advantage in the third quarter to widen the lead to 38-18. In the fourth frame, Wallace-Rose Hill outscored the visitors by 12-9 to seal the win.

West Bladen was led by Laikyn Pait’s 10 points, while Logan Autry added seven.

The Lady Knights will travel to Rocky Point on Friday for a conference tilt with Heidi Trask at 6 p.m.
