DUBLIN — The visiting Lady Pirates of Lumberton High School defeated the Lady Knights of West Bladen on Tuesday by a score of 8-0.

Playing pro sets in singles action, the Lady Knighfts managed just 12 points in the six matches overall.

In doubles action, West Bladen fell by a combined 16-4 in the two matches.

— In Cerro Gordo on Tuesday, the Lady Knights won their fourth straight match with a 25-18, 25-21 and 25-18 non-conference win over West Columbus.

Kassidy Anderson again led the way with 13 service winners with three aces and six kills. Kathryn Schultz contributed six kills and Lorna Smith had five kills to go along with two aces. Logan Autry had eight service points with three aces, three kills and 12 assists for West Bladen.

Morgan Schumacher gave the Lady Knights an ace and four kills, while Laikyn Pait added three kills with an ace.

— In Lake Waccamaw on Tuesday, the Lady Eagles scratched their way to a non-conference win over pesky East Columbus 26-28, 25-23, 25-19 and 25-19.

Miller Heustess led East Bladen with 23 assists, 16 service points, two kills and an ace while Lacey Suggs contributed eight kills, 15 service winners and five aces.

Lexie Mendell gave the Lady Eagles 13 kills and Claire Campbell had four kills and two aces.
