DUBLIN — The Lady Knights scored in each of Friday’s five innings and handed visiting Clinton a 10-0 Four County Conference loss.

The mercy-rule win improved West Bladen to 8-1 overall, 4-1 in the conference.

Alanna Ludlum gave the Lady Knights a 1-0 lead in the first inning with a sacrifice fly to score Conner Brisson, who had walked and gone to third on a single by Logan Autry.

In the second inning, two errors on a single play put Sophie Singletary on second and an error on a grounder by Madison Collins brought Singletary home for a 2-0 edge.

West Bladen plated two runs in the third when Ludlum led off with a double and scored on a grounder by Laikyn Pait that the Lady Dark Horses booted. Carley Dawson followed with a run-scoring single to bring Pait home for a 4-0 lead.

Successive errors by Clinton to start the fourth inning put Collins and Jenna Dove on, Abby Dawson bunted the runners over and a double by Brisson scored two runs. Autry followed with a long RBI triple to put the Lady Knights up, 7-0.

In the fifth, West Bladen closed it out with three runs. Carley Dawson singled, Singletary reached on an error, Collins stroked a two-run single and Dove hammered an RBI double to end the game.

Singletary earned the win from the circle, twirling a complete game and giving up just four hits, no walks, one hit batter and striking out three.

Autry was 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple and RBI; Carley Dawson was 2-for-3 with an RBI; Brisson was 1-for-2 with two RBI and stolen base; Ludlum was 1-for-2 with a double and RBI; Collins had three RBI; and Dove had a double and RBI.

The Lady Knights will travel to face Midway on Tuesday in a conference game at 6 p.m.
