ROCKY POINT — The Lady Knights rapped 13 hits, while Sophia Singletary and Madison Collins combined on a three-hitter from the circle to lead West Bladen past Heidi Trask on Friday, 15-2.

The win moved the Lady Knights to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Four County Conference.

West Bladen broke out fast with three runs in the second inning behind a sacrifice fly by Conner Brisson, an error and a sacrifice fly by Kassidy Anderson.

Three more runs came home in the third inning, all after two were out. Singletary laced an RBI double and, after a walk and hit batter, Jenna Dove had a two-run single.

The Lady Knihgts broke the game open with nine runs in the fourth frame. Laikyn Pait had two run-scoring doubles, a error scored a run and West Bladen got RBI singles from Brisson, Kathryn Schultz, Dove and Logan Autry. Carley Dawson stroked an RBI double to move the lead to 15-0.

Heidi Trask scored two unearned runs in the fifth inning.

Singletary earned the win, going three innings and giving up one hit, one walk and fanning two. Collins finished up, giving up two hits, three walks and fanning two.

At the plate, Singletary was 3-for-3 with a double and RBI; Pait was 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI; Dove was 2-for-3 with an RBI; Alanna Ludlum had a triple; and Dawson had a double and RBI.

The Lady Knights will travel to face Pender County on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in a conference game.
