Four County Conference girls tournament opens Monday


The 2017 Four County Conference Basketball Tournament will open Monday, with the lower seeds traveling to play at the higher seeds on Monday and Tuesday.

In the girls tournament:

— Clinton took the No. 1 seed after going undefeated in the conference and will play Monday at 6 p.m. against No. 8 and winless Heidi Trask.

— East Bladen, 12-2 in the conference, is the No. 2 seed and will get a Valentine’s Day game on Tuesday at 5 p.m. against No. 7 Union.

— Midway garnered the No. 3 seed and will get host No. 6 Wallace-Rose Hill on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

— West Bladen, 7-7 in the conference, is the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Pender County on Monday at 6 p.m.

The rest of the tournament schedule will be played at Pender County High and is as follows:

Wednesday — No. 8/No. 1 winner vs. No. 5/No. 4 winner 6 p.m.

Thursday — No. 7/No. 2 winner vs. No.No. 6/No. 3 winner 6 p.m.

Friday — championship game 6 p.m.
