District Attorney Jon David on Tuesday released the following statement concerning the investigation into the death of 17-year-old Lennon Lee Lacy on Aug. 29:“Our team has been in regular contact with the victim’s family, and representatives working on their behalf, to keep them apprised of the status of the investigation. Moreover, in a show of transparency, my office met with several community leaders last week to update them on the status of this case.“While the investigation is ongoing, and no final determinations have been made, to date we have not received any evidence of criminal wrongdoing surrounding the death. Anyone with additional information about this matter is encouraged to contact the Bladenboro Police Department.
