Commissioners vote to beef up courthouse security

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Commissioners voted 6-2 in favor of tightening security for the Bladen County Courthouse during their meeting Monday night. Commissioners Charles Ray Peterson and Wayne Edge cast the two votes against the proposal.The proposal, presented by Bladen County Sheriff Capt. Jeff Singletary and Bladen County Sheriff Prentis Benston, offered commissioners three options for securing the courthouse.

 

Commissioners approve smoking policy changes
