ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Chapter of the North Carolina Special Olympics held its annual Spring Games at Elizabethtown Middle School on Friday.
Athletes from eight public schools in Bladen County, as well as from Community Innovations, Monarch Bladen Opportunities Unlimited, Bladen Community College and RHA Healthcare Services participated in a wide variety of events — from sotfball toss, long jump, bocce, T-ball and more.
Some athletes, who were not participating in the Spring Games, were able to participate in an area called Olympic Town where they took part in a number of sports activities.
