Three Bladen County varsity basketball teams open the Class 2-A state playoffs today:
— The West Bladen Knights, 19-6, drew the highest seed as Waccamaw Conference champions at No. 5 in the Mideast and will host No. 12 seed Graham, 17-7.
— The East Bladen Eagles, 19-6, were given the No. 11 seed in the Mideast and will be on the road against No. 6 T.W. Andrews, 17-6.
— The Lady Eagles of East Bladen High, 18-8, state runnersup for three straight seasons, have drawn the No. 9 seed in the Mideast and will open the Class 2-A playoffs on the road against No. 4 seed Reidsville High, 16-6.
All games tip off at 7 p.m.
