Flow testing of fire hydrants in Elizabethtown will begin Saturday.
Firefighters from Station 55 Elizabethtown will be checking hydrant pressure through August. The annual tests help the fire department and town identify potential problem areas.
Flow testing also can cause pressure loss in some areas, dislodging rust and sediment in the pipes. The debris is harmless, but can cause brief periods of discoloration.
