ROSEBORO - Christine Smith Bledsoe, 77, of NC Highway 210 South, died Thursday, January 6, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Bledsoe was a native of Cumberland County, a daughter of the late Cydney James and Gertrude Bullard Smith. She was a homemaker.
The funeral service was held Sunday at 3 p. m. at Peter's Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Woodruff and Rev. Michael McGirt officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bledsoe is survived by her husband, Danny Ray Bledsoe; two stepdaughters, Pam Smith of Kelly and Janet Lockamy of Harrells; two sisters, Iula Starr of Elizabethtown and Lura Phelps of Harrells; nine brothers, Reuben Smith of Stedman, Earl Smith of Durham, Wiley Smith of Chesapeake, Va., Edom Smith of Lexington, and Joe Smith, Jack Smith, Hurley Smith, Chester Smith and Lester Smith, all of Roseboro; and three step-grandchildren.
Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro handled the arrangements.
