WHITEVILLE — Three Bladen County women were among representatives of six North Carolina counties who attended the 13th District of Retired School Personnel meeting in Whiteville recently.
President Katherine Inscoe Taylor, Vice-President Jean Lloyd and past president Suzette Lewis Brooks joined officers from the counties of New Hanover, Brunswick, Sampson, Pender and Columbus at Dale’s Seafood Restaurant for a luncheon meeting.
The session was a two-hour planning period for the year. Pearl Freedman, president of the District 13, greeted representatives, guided them in objectives, and enlightened them of available resources for programs. She will attend the Bladen County unit as speaker at the January meeting.
