Deb Wilson & TrueVine will host “Grand Ole Gospel” and serve as the “house band.” TrueVine members include national recording artist Deb Wilson of Chadbourn, lead vocalist; Mike Barnes of Chadbourn, organ and rhythm section; W. Jeffery of Chadbourn, guitar; Joe Williams of Whiteville, saxophone; and Harry Vann Batton of Bladenboro, piano/keyboard.
Featured Gospel music groups will perform on select Tuesday nights, and the first Tuesday of each month will be “open mic” night where singers may bring their backup music on CD or cassette and take a turn singing their favorite gospel song.
Randy Ward, national Southern Gospel recording artist, will be the featured guest for the premiere of “Grand Ole Gospel” on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The Strait Gate Quartet is the scheduled featured group for Oct. 13.
Glory Bound, Lumber River, and New Believers are among other groups slated to perform in upcoming months. A special Christmas show is also planned for December.
Refreshments will be available, and admission is free. The Arts Center is located on the corner of E. First and N. Brown Streets in Chadbourn. “Grand Ole Gospel” is non-denominational and not affiliated with any church.
