SPOKANE, Wash. — Saquan Johnson had a quiet week with the Spokane Indians, the Class A short-season team in the Texas Rangers minor league system.
Johnson, a 2011 graduate of East Bladen High School who was drafted in the 28th round of the Major League Draft that year, sat out five of the last six games for the Indians.
His only appearance in the past week was a pinch-running assignment on Tuesday.
Johnson is currently hitting .160 for Spokane.
The Indians are in first place of the Northwest League’s North Division with a 22-8 record. They have won three straight.
