FAIRMONT — The Lady Golden Tornadoes of Fairmont used a clean sweep of visiting West Bladen to open the season for both teams on Monday, posting wins of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-13.
Laikyn Pait led the Lady Knights with seven service winners, while Lorna Smith had two aces and two kills.
Kassidy Anderson tallied two kills and an ace, while Morgan Schumacher had three blocks and a kill. Kathryn Schultz added one kill and a block.
West Bladen will travel to UNCP for the Black & Gold Tournament on Saturday morning.
