ROSE HILL — Lacey Suggs took command of the circle for the lady Eagles on Thursday and twirled a two-hitter at Union for a 15-1 Four County Conference victory.

For Suggs, the five-inning, complete-game win improved her record to 2-0. Along with the two hits, she walked just one and struck out five.

“Lacey pitched a great game,” said East Bladen coach Patty Evers.

The Lady Eagles got on the board early, often and in every inning — scoring five runs in the top of the first inning and adding a run in the second, three in the third, five more in the fourth and another in the fifth.

At the plate, Suggs helped her own cause by going 5-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored. She got help from Anna Brewer, who went 3-for-5 with two RBIs, and Emily Scott, who was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and four runs scored.

Yolanda Coston was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, while Abby Ward had a hit and RBI and Maddie West had a hit and two RBIs.
