HARRELLS — On Sunday, July 31, Friendship Holiness Church honored North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Pait with a certificate of appreciation for his service in law enforcement before members of the congregation prepared lunch for Pait and his family.

During the service, the church held a moment of silence for the law enforcement officers who had lost their lives in the line of duty and the Rev. Jimmy Tatum, pastor of Friendship Holiness, led the congregation in a prayer for God’s blessing and protection on Pait’s life, his family and his fellow officers.

“We give many thanks to Trooper Pait and all law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities and cities safe,” Tatum said.

Pait spoke briefly to the congregation before the church gave Pait a “love offering” so he and his family could enjoy a meal at a later date.
