Aug. 13

Aug. 17

— The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church women will sponsor a conference titled “Women With A Vision” starting today through Aug. 21. The weekday services begin at 7 p.m. Conference speakers are: Wednesday, Aug. 17, Apostle Andria Weeks pastor of Greater Works Church of Deliverance Ministries in Pinehurst; Thursday, Aug. 18, Pastor Pia Jessup of White Oak; Friday, Aug. 19, Pastor Tracy Troy from Victory in Jesus Ministries in Whiteville; and Sunday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m., Pastor Cheryl Moore of Zion Temple Church in Durham. Baldwin Branch is located at 4047 N.C. 242 South in Elizabethtown. The Rev. Louie Boykin is the pastor.

Aug. 21

— Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church will observe Family and Friends Day at 11 a.m. The guests will be Delora LeSane and the congregation of Greater McKoy’s Chapel Church of Dublin. Everyone is invited to come celebrate.

— True Vine Holiness Church will celebrate Part II of Pastor Luel M. Campbell’s anniversary at 5 p.m. A guest speaker and choir from Durham will be in charge of the service. Everyone is invited.

— “Women’s Day” will be observed at White’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church during the 9 a.m. worship service with Annie Lewis, minister of First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, serving as the guest speaker. — The public is invited to the 80th anniversary celebration of Central Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m. The Rev. Gregory Spaulding, pastor of Union Baptist Church in Lake Waccamaw, will be the guest speaker. The musical guests will be the Union Baptist Church choir and The Graham Brothers. — Fall Revival will be held today through Aug. 26 at White’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church at 7 p.m. each day. The Rev. Mumford Hamilton of South Carolina will be the speaker. The public is invited. The church is located at 6838 Airport Road in the Lisbon community.

Aug. 28

— The Sandhill Missionary Church family will celebrate “Men’s Day” and their pastor. The Rev. Donald Thompson will deliver the message at the 11 a.m. worship service. All community men are invited to attend. Lunch will be served following the service.

Sept. 17

— The Voice of Praise Gospel Choir of White’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 30th anniversary at 6 p.m. The evening will feature Maurice McZeke of Dillon, S.C. and the Mighty Echoes … as well as many more.
