July 16

— Living Springs Church will host the annual Bladen County Walk for Christ, starting at the Bladen County Courthouse at 10 a.m. There will be prayer, various speakers, music and fellowship. All walk participants are asked to wear a white T-shirt.

July 23

— White Lake Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Classes for ages 2 and up. Come join us as we “Submerge” into God’s Word. And from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. we will travel to White Lake Water Park for more fun. Food, Fun, Fellowship for all.

— The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church clothes closet will be open from 8 to 11 a.m. The food pantry, “From His Table to Yours,” will be open as well from 10 a.m. to noon. Personal identifications and transportation is required. No fees are involved in either ministry. Baldwin Branch is located at 4047 N.C. 242 Hwy. South in Elizabethtown.

July 24

— The missionaries of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church will take the lead in celebrating Women’s Day. All women are asked to wear white and men will wear aprons and feed the women.

— Come with us on a Bible School “Submerged” adventure like no other, deep within the mysterious depths of the deep blue sea. Kids submerge themselves in God’s Word and discover that Jesus didn’t just see what’s on the outside; He looked deep down on the inside. So put on your goggles, and dive in to find truth below the surface. “Submerged” Vacation Bible School begins today and will continue through July 28, from 6-8 p.m. each night. There will be classes for all ages, crafts, music, and food. Parents and guests are invited to attend adult classes. The church is located at 2039 Pleasant Grove Church Road in Bladenboro. — Kitchen Branch Missionary Baptist Church is having a Giving Initiative for Family & Friends Day at 3:30 p.m. The church is inviting each member to donate $25 and invite 25 people.

July 28

— Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, located at 807 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Elizabethtown, will host a Town Hall Discussion centered around improving race relations and community relationship with law enforcement from 6 to 8 p.m. The public is urged to attend.

July 31

— Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the birthdays for July, August and September. Come and blow out your spiritual candle for your birthday.
