CHURCH CALENDAR


March 20

— Mt. Olive AME Zion Church will be having a musical program at 3:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy this program.

— The deacons of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro will host a “Family and Friends Day” during its 11 a.m. worship service. Pastor Ollie Mosby and the congregation of Greater Robinson Temple of Elizabethtown will be the guest speaker.

— St. Peter’s AME Zion Church in White lake will host a birthday celebration at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Brother Darious Ballard and several choirs will render music along with other surprise entertainment. For information, call Catherine Autry at 910-709-5141.

— In observance of Holy Week, New Zion Church, will host a Devotional Service at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

March 21

— In observance of Holy Week, Carvers Creek Church will host a Devotional Service at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

March 22

— Pierce Chapel AME Zion Church, located at 595 Porterville School Road in Clarkton, will celebrate Passion Week with a devotion for Sandy Plain AME Zion Church. Guest speaker will be Pastor Alphonso Turner; the host will be Pastor Johnas Freeman.

— In observance of Holy Week, Tabernacle Church will host a Devotional Service at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

March 23

— “Passion Week” will be observed March 20-25, but today at 7:30 p.m., Sandill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro will host guest speaker Rev. Darryl Hardy of St. John Baptist Church

— In observance of Holy Week, Kitchen Branch Church will host a Devotional Service at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend

March 24

—In observance of Holy Week, Trinity Church will host a Devotional Service at 7 p.m. There will be Holy Communion at this service. Everyone is invited to attend.

March 25

— In observance of Holy Week, Saint James Church will host a Devotional Service at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

March 26

— Living Springs Church on U.S. 701 South in Elizabethtown will host a live dramatization of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ at 7 p.m. The free event will include many people from area churches. The public is invited.

— Tar Heel Baptist Church located at 521 Tar Heel Ferry Road in Tar Heel, will have an Easter Egg Hunt for children in 6th grade and below. It will begin at 10:30 a.m and end at noon. Lunch will be served.

March 27

— Tar Heel Baptist Church located at 521 Tar Heel Ferry Road in Tar Heel, will have a special Easter Service beginning at 7 a.m with breakfast. The worship service will start at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

— The annual Community Early Rise Service will be held at 7 a.m. at the Old Trinity Church on East Broad Street in Elizabethtown. All are invited.

— In Observance of Holy Week, Piney Grove Church will host a Devotional Service at 6 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

April 2

— The Drama Team of St. Luke A.M.E. Church located at 410 Martin Luther King Drive, Bladenboro, will present a play “Deacon Willie’s Last Will and Testament”. There will be a meal served during the play for a donation of $12.00. Everyone is invited to attend.

March 6

— Christian Plain AME Zion Church of Whiteville will host a Black History Program at 3:30 p.m. with guest speaker Rev. Haywood Oliver along with the choir and congregation of Mt. Olive AME Zion Church of Elizabethtown. Everyone invited.

March 19

— Tatum’s 14th annual gospel singing anniversary at 6 p.m. at New Life Church located at 107 South Maultsby Street in Whiteville. Featuring Nadine and Stevie, Beaverdam Boys, and Joyful Sounds. There will be a special appearance by T.J. Tatum, door prizes, and refreshments available.

— College Small Group will meet from 6 until 7 p.m. (ages 18 to 23) followed by AMPED Student Ministry worship service from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. each Sunday night at Dublin First Baptist Church. The upbeat worship service will be lead by our student ministry band, and include drama, and deep Biblical teaching.
