— White’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Pastor’s Support Ministry located at 6838 Airport Road in the Lisbon area, will be sponsoring a shoe rally singing program at 6 p.m. We will have choirs, soloists, and groups. Everone is invited. Come with your shouting shoes on and give praise to God.

— Vicki Clark, from The Biggest Loser, will be teaching on health living and reminding us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit at Tar Heel Baptist Church at 7 p.m. located at 521 Tar Heel Ferry Road in Tar Heel. Everyone is welcome to attend.

— New Zion AME Zion Church will celebrate its Family Life program at 4 p.m. with guest speaker Rev. Hardy Ballard Jr., pastor at St. Luke AME Zion in Bladenboro and Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church in Lumberton, along with the choir and congregation. — Brown’s Creek A.M.E. Zion Church will celebrate their annual Black History program at 4 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. J.T. McDowell of Zion Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, along with his choir and congregation. Everyone is invited to attend. Sponsored by the Christian Education Department.

March 5

— Christian Plain AME Zion Church of Whiteville invites the public to its Black History Banquet at 6 p.m. at the Paul R. Brown Building located at 1360 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Elizabethtown. Several individuals and businesses will be presented with Distinguished Service Awards. The theme of the evening is “Black Americans Making a Difference in past, Present and Future.” Guest speaker will be Judge Pauline Hankins of the 13th District Court. Entertainment provided by Pastor Ollie C. Maultsby along with the Paul R. Brown Color Guard and Drill Team. Banquet tickets are $25 and may be purchased at the door or contact the Rev. Joyce A. — The St. Luke A.M.E. Zion Church, located at 410 Martin Luther King Dr. in Bladenboro, will observe Pew Sunday during the 10 a.m. Morning Worship Service. Our goal is to fill all the pews. You are invited to come and be a part of this great program.

— Victory Baptist Church will have an Irish concert at 7 p.m. located at 2012 South Madison Street in Whiteville. The concert will feature guitar, Irish penny whistle, violin, mandolin and other Celtic instruments. A nursery will be provided and the concert is free.

— Christian Plain AME Zion Church of Whiteville will host a Black History Program at 3:30 p.m. with guest speaker Rev. Haywood Oliver along with the choir and congregation of Mt. Olive AME Zion Church of Elizabethtown. Everyone invited.

— Tatum’s 14th annual gospel singing anniversary at 6 p.m. at New Life Church located at 107 South Maultsby Street in Whiteville. Featuring Nadine and Stevie, Beaverdam Boys, and Joyful Sounds. There will be a special appearance by T.J. Tatum, door prizes, and refreshments available.
